A Full Circle Moment: Joining the Mapex Family

I’m excited to share some pretty special news: I’m now officially endorsed by Mapex, representing both their drum set and marching percussion lines. For any drummer, receiving this kind of recognition is an honour—and for me, it’s a full circle moment.

Back in the day when working at Drummers Paradise, I remember the excitement of investing in my first professional drum set: the Mapex Saturn IV in exotic Cherry Mist. That instrument blew me away and set the foundation for my journey as a musician. It gave me a taste of what a truly inspiring drum set could do for creativity and performance. It’s amazing to fast-forward to today and having the opportunity to partner with Mapex as an international artist.

On the marching side, I’ve picked up drums in the Mapex Quantum II marching series. These drums strike the balance between powerful projection, technological innovation and portability. The durability and responsiveness mean I can trust my sound will cut through, while the innovative hardware design has made setup tuning and performing smoother than ever.

Equally, in the studio and on stage, the Mapex Equinox kit has quickly become a new favourite. The tone is both lively and nuanced, perfectly at home whether I’m tracking across genres or performing live. It’s been refreshing to sit behind a kit that doesn’t just look the part, but inspires new ideas with every session.

I want to thank the Mapex and D’Addario Australia teams for their support and belief in what I do with D²Drumline and as an artist. I’m grateful for the journey so far and genuinely excited to see where this collaboration can go next.
