Last weekend I had the privilege of performing with the D²Drumline crew at Mt Buller in the Victorian Alps. My role as Musical Director means I don’t often get to perform with the group these days, however this one was an opportunity I could pass up!
We decided to channel our inner 80’s children (even though most of us weren’t even born then…) and rock out for the fans in some truly wonderful vintage garb. We played 4 sets on Saturday afternoon followed by an early morning Sunday wake-up call for the most dedicated snow bunnies hitting the slopes nice and early.
In addition to the killer shows, I got to spend the weekend hanging with some great mates, watching some of our first time skiers and snowboarders execute some brilliant stacks, and carve up some fresh powder. Not a bad weekend’s work all in all.
Massive thanks to Morgan and Ben from Mt Buller for all the work helping put the gig together and for being such gracious hosts… can’t wait till next year!
