I’m thrilled to share a recent web development project for Chris in New Zealand – kidsbeats.co!
Kids Beats, a highly successful children’s education program based in Auckland which over 300 students from numerous schools in the region. Spearheaded by Chris, the program has amassed an extensive library of educational resources including videos and online lessons. To effectively showcase and drive engagement with this content, Chris reached out with the goal of creating a revamped Learning Management System (LMS).
The project had a series of key requirements including:
- Implementation of an LMS facilitating online course delivery
- Establishment of school-based groups to streamline student organization into classes
- Integration of a video assignment upload system complemented by a marking and feedback mechanism
- Incorporation of written quizzes and tests for comprehensive assessment
- Inclusion of social features within school groups to foster enhanced student engagement
- Collection of student information – such as contact details and photo permissions – restricted to staff access only
- Public student profiles for sharing of information and connection with friends
- Development of a highly responsive server and optimized web design to ensure seamless navigation for students throughout the site
Developing effective and efficient solutions for the various requirements of this project was a highly enjoyable challenge, and witnessing the growing number of students actively participating in Kids Beats courses within their respective school cohorts has been immensely rewarding.
And the best bit? This project was delivered before the due date. Nice.
